We were proud to take part in this year’s Girls into STEM Day at South Devon College, a brilliant event held in recognition of International Women in Engineering Day.
This inspiring initiative brought together six local schools and six industry partners to co-create engineering solutions to real-world challenges. We were paired with Paignton Academy and were absolutely thrilled to see their project, DiscoWalkz – a colourful, interactive dance walkway – announced as this year’s winning concept! A fantastic idea that combined creativity, tech and movement in a really engaging way.
Thank you to our team – Lee Tatton, Alison Webber and Giorgia Cornish– for supporting the students through the development process over the last few months.
And a big thank you to Charlotte Bounsell and the team at South Devon College for organising another exceptional event, and to all the schools and companies involved for making it such a success:
Dawlish community college.– Technical Composite Systems Limited
Torquay Academy– Davies & Bell Ltd.
South Devon High School– QLM Technology
Newton Abbot College – Howmet Aerospace
St Cuthbert Mayne School – G&H (Gooch & Housego)
Paignton Academy Torbay Pharma
We’re always proud to support events that spark curiosity, build confidence, and help young people imagine their future in STEM.
